Strawberry Taho
If you are looking for a place to view the beautiful mountains of Baguio, visit the Mines view park. The park is one of the popular tourist spots in Baguio city and it is located northeast of the city of Baguio. The park is only 1.86 miles from the Botanical Garden. Check out my article entitled “Baguio’s Beautiful Botanical Garden.” Before entering the Mines view park, we bought some masarap strawberry taho, which is made up of tapioca pearls, tofu, and strawberries. Another food you must try is the fresh Strawberry ice cream in La Trinidad. Check out my article entitled Strawberry Picking in the Charming Fields of La Trinidad, Philippines.

Masarap!!!
This is a must try in Baguio!
Pasalubong
Along the way, you may find a myriad of souvenir shops that sold brooms, key chains, t-shirts, sweaters, ashtrays, wood carvings, pots, rings, necklaces, and many other accessories.
Horses
You will also find colorfully decorated horses on the park. You can have your picture made on the horse.
You can also have your picture made donning on Igorot costumes.
Sunflowers
Next to the Igot costume area, we found a substantial number of sunflowers, which are commonly grown in the Philippines. For more photos of sunflowers, check out my article entitled “Strawberry Picking in the Charming Fields of La Trinidad, Philippines.”
Corn and Pusit (Squid)
Not only are there souvenirs, but food as well. For instance, you will find dried and fried pusit (squid), fish (isda) balls, peanut brittle, strawberry jam, ube jam (purple yam), and corn on a cob sold by vendors inside the park.
Plants
Furthermore, you will find numerous plants for sale- everything from chili plants to egg plants, Lemon scented pine trees, Honey trees to Cactus plants. What I noticed is that the park is frankly a Pasalubong Center. Paslubong is a Filipino tradition in which travelers bring souvenirs back to their family. You will find numerous stalls of souvenirs as well as fresh oranges, strawberries, lettuce, cauliflower, and so forth even outside the park.
Magnificent View of Mines Valley
The Park offers a magnificent and breathtaking observation deck panoramic view of the towering Cordillera mountain range including the copper and gold mines of the Amburayan Valley, Itogon, and Benguet. If you want a better view of the mountains, you can rent binoculars for 20 pesos. While you are standing on the observation deck, you may feel the fresh and cool breeze from the steep deck. What I noticed that day is the place was overcrowded. It was very difficult to snap great pictures of ourselves with the mountain behind us.
The breathtaking view of the Mine Valley.
